First YouTube Video EVER!!!! LIVE!!!!

Just a quick post to let you guys know my first ever You Tube video . I have been wanting to make videos for a long time now and just never could get the courage to do it . I cant tell you how many times i have filmed and just nit picked it till there was nothing left . So to prevent me from doing that I filmed a gorilla style short 2 min. vid on "Whats in my makeup bag" on my Iphone and posted it .

Please know i am very much aware it is low quality , i tried to upload it in HD and it wouldn't post so needless to say i was determined to get it up and standard was all i could do . This in all honesty was more for me then anything else , to rip the band aid off in a way and just jump in head first . I hope you like it and please bare with me and PLEASE be sure to subscribe and let me know what you would like to see got up next .

Etsy Haul : Hand Made Soaps from False Nostalgia

I am a sucker for anything hand made , colorful and smells of what i think heaven smells like . So its safe to say Etsy is like crack to me . I can spend hours looking at all the cool things unbelievable creative people come up with . I came across False Nostalgia and immediately fell in love with her soaps . They are tailored to the geek in me . Shannon creates and names her soaps after some of my all time favorite T.V shows and movie franchises . These are the ones i picked up and best believe I will be ordering more . :)

Review : Mac Pro Palette Large/Duo Sided

 

I have been holding out on writing this because i didn't want to make any rush decisions on it . I have been working with it for about a month now . When i first heard of this palette (what felt like century's ago) I couldn't wait to get my hands on them . When the day finally came i ordered two right off the bat . I wanted to love them so much but unfortunately that's not the case . 

I'm going to start with the negative only because i feel like non of the reviews i have read and seen seem to have the problems I have encountered with this . The magnetic bottom/lids , Knowing this a duel sided palette i would think they would be a bit stronger then its predecessor especially when the you can opt for not inserts . That's not the case , my pro pans are sliding around and end up flipping on to the clear lid and breaking . Makes it near impossible to travel with them . The same thing with the blush pro pan , though i have noticed they have used different magnets on the bottom of the blushes recently there larger and a bit thicker . 

My second issue with this palette is the clear lid itself . If you don't have nails or just maintain your nails short it's unbelievable difficult to open/flip to the other side . When your working the last thing you want is to be slowed down ever time you need to accesses the other side of your palette . It gets very annoying . 

The palette itself is made very well , super sturdy and the storage space is wonderful . I love having that many shadows in one spot and clearly visible at all times . The hinges are just as well made opening and closing very smoothly . I feel that this could have been the holy grail of palettes for me and i wanted to fall in love with it but i am sorry to say its a miss of me especially when i am having to dish out more money to fix the poor magnet problem . L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lip Lacquer Review

I have been testing these out for about a month now and i have to say i am in love with them . So much so that i have purchased a whole new set and added them to my kit . They are 12 shades in a full range of colors .


Knowing that L'Oreal owns YSL I figured it would only be a matter of time before they came out the there take on the Glossy Stains  . I do not own any of the YSL stains as i could not bring my self to pay $32 for one , but god knows i have have played with them every chance i get at Nordstrom's .
Plus side to YSL they smell like fruit punch where as L'Oreal has there o so familiar floral (grandmothers makeup) kind of smell . Also there nude shades are much more pigmented then the L'Oreal .

Now that the inevitable band aid of negative has been ripped off , the positive . First and for most is the price . These little gems retail anywhere from $7.99 to $9.99 and a lot of places (cvs , walgreens , ulta) will throw out a buy one get on 50% off deal . The packaging on these are super sleek and i like them much better to the Glossy stains . there small fit great in your pocket (even in shinnies) , give you the color window so you can see what color your grabbing with out having to open it . The applicator is ingenues it is a large doe foot shape but with a hollow center so when you remove the wand you have a pocket of product in the center . What does this mean ??? Less dipping into you product meaning less air and longer life span of your stain . (won't dry out in 2 weeks WOOHU)

First application leave your lips with the usual lip stain feeling of numbing/plumping , keeping in mind they do not claim to be lip plumper's its just what i can closely relate the feeling to . When it drys its an almost velvet appearance . With the base layer down you can build it up to the color intensity and glossiness you desire . They leave you lips feeling super moisturized, the gloss is not stick but at the same time you feel like its not going anywhere if you lick your lips or sip on a drink . If those are reasons enough to love them they pair great with you favorite lipsticks and and the lasting power of that is unreal . The only thing that in my opinion could be better is if they came out with a clear one that you could top any lipstick with to really seal it in and give that great shine and staying power . (HOLY GRAIL GLOSS)

 I have found my self  posting a lot on my Instagram what i am eating and also going there for inspiration on recipes and ideas . I love food , having a background in the food industry including Culinary arts diplomas , I don't think its ever something i am going to not care about or enjoy . What i can do tho is make a conscious effort to know what i do eat and if its really worth consuming . 

I know for me personally if i call it a diet and tell me self constantly what i CAN'T eat i get discouraged and give up . Instead now with social networking i think of it as trying new things and learning new recipes , tips and tricks .
 I focus on keeping things fresh and interesting so i don't get broad with me meals . I have a been loving smoothies . They help me with eating more fruits and veggies and less starch  .

Its has turned into a game for me and that's what is helped most of all . Not thinking of it as a chore but rather a game .

Movie Nite with Sephora

This is following up on the last post i did . The Sephora Movie night event was yesterday . I live about an hour away from where the event was being held so i was forced to leave straight from work . When i got there i was told to head to theater number 8 and that my print out would be taken there . When i got there i was greeted by an old women that looked like she didn't even know what a sephora's was and an elder gentlemen that work for the theater . I took my seat next to a very nice young girl and who i think was a her boyfriend . We talked for a while , mostly about the drive the collection . To my left was a little girl about 6 yrs old that was very excited for the movie . I had a feeling all three of us where on the same page with excitement lol .

At about 10 to 7 the greeter decided to walk down the isle and yell at everyone to shut off there phones . The movie started promptly at 7 with no sort of previews or intro into the upcoming releases (dvd or makeup line) . I loved the movie of course . At the end we were told that our goodie bags could be claimed as we walked out .

In all honesty it was not what i was expecting . It felt very thrown  together for a company like theres and i have a faint feeling that the event would not have been the same had i lived in NY or Cali (any major city really) . I would have thought a rep for Sephora would have been there with the new line and would have talked about them . I was really hoping to have had the chance to play around with them for a while prior to the movie . Now for the so called goodie bag , It was a tiny Sephora bag with a flyer for the line and dvd and a gift card , that's it . The card was for $5 .

All in all i am glad i went i talked to a few very nice girls but for the most part it was a waist of time . Especially when your driving an hour to get there and an hour to get home . I would have much rather hold on to my 250 points and perches the movie on Blu-ray . If you went to the even in your area please let me know how it went , I would love to hear your experience .

Watch Disney's Cinderella with Sephora

So while doing my weekly stroll of Sephora (online) i saw an ad for Beauty Insiders , for 250 points you get to see Cinderella in theaters on September 27 (next Thursday) .
